 Since Restonic was founded 4 decades ago – how has your company moved with the trends of the hospitality industry in Dubai?

 Providing a solution for different comfort levels isn’t rocket science particularly when most hotels already have their preferred specifications. In order to cover most levels of specification, through research Restonic has developed different types of mattresses, which in our opinion can fulfil each criterion. With an advanced catalogue of products at our disposal and manufactured from the highest hotel quality materials sourced from all over the world, we can offer our clients not only the highest comfort levels but also at the most competitive pricing structure.

 What are current trends that you are witnessing in the bedding industry and what are your predictions for the future?

 Instant online reviews are a popular indicator of the guests’ opinions – be it critical or favourable. You have to be aware that the hotel guests’ stay has to more than live up to their expectations, and providing international standards is essential for their experience. The tradition at Restonic is to never be satisfied with what we’ve achieved; there’s always something new around the corner and thankfully with our global reach of suppliers, we are constantly tapped with new raw material innovations, which are then incorporated in our products. We can only speculate what the future may hold but what we are certain of is that new innovative environment-friendly products are definitely the way forward.

What are the most important factors for Dubai hoteliers when making a selection for hotel bedding?

Speaking only from a mattress manufacturers point of view, no matter how wonderful your product may be, the proof is whether it can live up to its claim! Misrepresentation of the product warranty is a good example. Hoteliers can be misled into believing that a 10-year warranty can be given. Not that it’s an impossibility; it’s a claim however that’s fraught with false promises. In our opinion, conveying the quality, value and merits of the product should never be compromised with an overpromise on its lifespan. Restonic will factor every aspect of the quality, durability, strength, and comfort levels and only provide a 5-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.

 How do you differentiate from your competitors?

 Restonic has however never wavered from its core values of transparency and honesty. The differentiating factor in our opinion is that while retaining our competitive edge, we believe without reservation that by far we have the best quality mattresses. It’s often been said that the proof of the pudding is in the eating! Well, so firmly do we believe in the quality of our products, we will invite anyone to dissect our mattresses as proof that we have fulfilled our promise of manufacturing mattresses using only the highest quality materials.

 Please can you provide a case study whereby your mattresses have improved the hotel experience for a guest/hotel as a whole?

 Of the different category mattresses we manufacture for the hotel sector, the best selling mattress is Restonic’s non-flip Hotel Comfortcare. The high specification elements used in the construction of this mattress sets it apart from rival brands especially when you consider the inclusion of the Xstream Air and Corrugated Latex, and exclusive to Restonic only, the unique “open cell” technology Hyper-foams, which has an advantage of greater strength, comfort and durability.

We will always go the extra mile for our clients – it’s second nature to us! One of our recommendations was a luxurious customised pillow top version of the “Hotel Comfortcare” mattress for a prestigious 5 Star hotel in Dubai. This mattress was proven so popular with both the management and guests that it even encouraged a staying guest to contact us directly and order the same specification product for his hotel in Europe.

 ‘It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it’ – what is your opinion on this famous quote and how has Restonic kept its reputation year on year?

Well, there’s a continuation to Warren Buffett’s quote, …..If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.” That’s something everyone should consider for good business practices. Restonic’s reputation is built on transparency and trust. Retaining our clients’ business is in fact more important than winning new ones. However, your reputation always precedes you. Thankfully, in our case a good word here and there and a solid recommendation from industry partners has proven to be a wonderful indicator of the value Restonic holds in the marketplace.
