Kempinski Mall of the Emirates – Aspen Ski Chalets
There is nothing quite like it, a selection of ski chalets in the middle of the desert! The stunning Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates underwent a $100 million renovation program, re-launching in December 2015 to critical acclaim. Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the hotel’s opening, the property unveiled its luxury Aspen Chalets in April this year. For the first time, guests can enjoy the unique, authentic experience of a ski lodge in the heart of Dubai with views of the powdery slopes of Ski Dubai.

Treehouse – Taj Dubai is an intimate bar and lounge with its design features lending themselves to be the ideal spot for the festive period. Handcrafted wood elements and a huge fire place create the perfect environment for you to lounge with friends and family.

If you looking for an indoor venue, Boca in DIFC could be the place for you. In the basement you will find a cosy cellar, perfect size for an intimate gathering, surrounded on all sides by wrought iron racks housing rustic wooden crates and row upon row of bottles of grape.

Where to eat…

Festive Afternoon tea at the awardwinning Al Fayrooz Lounge, Jumeirah Al Qasr with its terrace overlooking Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah. Its terrace offers one of the best spots to enjoy Madinat Jumeirah’s breathtaking firework display taking place from the 17th to the 26th December 2016.

For meat lovers, Ruth Chris Steak House is the place to go for a four-course Christmas extravaganza that guarantees to add some sizzle to your festivities. Alongside the popular à la carte choices, Ruth’s Chris has a traditional Christmas menu available on the evenings of the 23rd to 25th and lunch on the 25th December.

Dubai Mall – the biggest shopping mall in the world – is the ideal venue for Christmas shopping for all of the family to enjoy, with plenty of shops to choose from and features within the mall such as the indoor ice rink, aquarium and the famous Dubai Fountains. There are also new launches from Victoria’s Secret, Kate Spade and L’OCCITANE over the festive period so definitely get yourself to Dubai Mall and experience everything that it has to offer.

Where to ski…

Ski Dubai
, located within Mall of the Emirates, is the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East. An amazing mountain-themed wintery setting where you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, take part in many snow events and meet and play with Ski Dubai’s newest residents; the Snow Penguins! Where to go with family…

Al Habtoor City’s Winter Garden Market is taking place in the gardens of the new St. Regis Hotel near Business Bay and it has no entry fee! There are several retailers there making it a great venue for buying unique presents for loved ones, Father Christmas is said to arrive in a Bentley every day, and there is Mulled Wine for the tasting. Timings: Weekdays from 17.00 – 21.00; Weekends from 15:00 – 21.00.

W Lounge & Wet Deck at the new W Dubai Al Habtoor City is set to become a winter wonderland, serving the merriest festive drinks and mouthwatering canapés. Experience stunning views of the Arabian Gulf or chill by the poolside lounge with Shisha for an all-inclusive package of 345 AED per person.

Where to go with work colleagues…

Escape Quest, the prefect combination of fun and team building to enjoy with your colleagues. It’s a race against time and you have 60 minutes. Bab Al Shams, Desert Resort & Spa are hosting their tree lighting ceremony on the 16th December.  Listen to Christmas carols, walk past the gingerbread house and eat ginger bread cookies, winter pies, hot chocolate and mulled beverages.
